My Obsession with Chairs

MY OBSESSION WITH CHAIRS

My obsession with chairs runs deep.  It started in my late teens when I had no money, I did however, own a 2-bedroom unit.  I begged, borrowed and stole four wooden chairs that were painted white.  I painted each one of these a different colour, (yes monochrome me); red, yellow, blue and green, (well it was the late 80’s/90’s).  Placed around an old Kauri table they looked incredibly cool – think ‘Friends’.

So fast forward, ahem, a few decades  and chairs still feature very heavily on my list of obsessions!  I even own a book dedicated to chairs!

Take a look at five of my all time favourites…

Georg Stool by Skagerak

London Bench by Boconcept

About a Stool by Hay

Sunday Bench Seat by Sunday Home Store

I’m lucky enough to own the About a Stool Barstools by Hay, a Sunday Bench Seat by Sunday Home Store and a London Bench Seat by Boconcept.

*I will post pictures of all of these after lockdown ends and I am back in my little house.

Sunday Bench Seat

Just prior to  Lockdown (after a lovely lunch out – remember those) I found this amazing lounge chair in Indie Home Collective in Newmarket.

I was very close to buying it but with lockdown impending I was very restrained.  One day…
