SOMETHING FROM NOTHING
I’m always looking for something. Sadly, our beautiful country isn’t as blessed as some in the world with access to furniture. Searching for specific items for projects really means you need to repurpose.
So, when on the hunt for a bar cart and a day bed it naturally ends up with Trademe, that is unless I intend to pay huge shipping costs from our neighbouring countries.
I missed on the day bed but I did come up trumps with the bar cart.
Its not quite ready – it is to end up with a coat of black paint. But naturally I need to ‘test’ it out first.
The best thing about these is their dual purpose. It can fill a space and provide a vignette but when its called upon it can repurpose to its true vocation with a few bottles of something special or even a small gathering for wine and cheese.
