STYLE UP A GUEST ROOM

Guest rooms are fun to style as you don’t need to be practical; you can finally use that gorgeous stool you’ve always wanted to use as a bedside table; that cushion with a burst of colour; that lamp that never quite finds the right home… however I do recommend that you use good quality bedding as this can make or break the look.

This small bedroom has only room for a double bed, a side table, and a shelving unit, it does however have a walk in robe which negates the need for lots of furniture.

I chose a colour palette of blue and green; my Gran always said “blue and green must not be seen” but I love this combo; the navy brings in a classic quality while the green looks fresh and modern. I think she’d approve somehow.

To keep the space light we used a side table in a painted white finish, hung the print using bulldog clips and used an anglepoise lamp, the vase allows simple green cuttings from the garden, and the books bring the palette together. We came in at just under $500 and it looks so lovely your guests will never want to leave you!
