Create a Book Pile

“A house without books is like a room without windows…”

This quote by Horace Mann is a quaint reminder of making your house your home, sure he was talking about education reform but his words work wonderfully in the world of interiors!  Whether floor to ceiling or just a small pile they work especially well in creating a vignette, they convey your interests and they give you something to do on those lazy Sunday afternoons.

You don’t need to build a bookshelf just build a pile; neat and tidy or a little messy, vertical or horizontal, one or many; here are a few pics from my little house and beyond to get you inspired…

Inspired?  Its certainly the weather for curling up with a good book from your new book pile! x

PS. My fave books of the moment is Noma; this exquisite book is compiled with photos from the restaurant in Copenhagen, just mouthwatering;  Plain, Simple, Useful by Terence Conran, simple but stylish interiors, Rethink the way you live by Amanda Talbot how to construct a more meaningful existence and A Place called Home by Jason Grant, delightful and refreshing take on how to decorate to your style and your budget.  Happy Reading!
