Its that time; feijoa time!

ITS THAT TIME; FEIJOA TIME Feijoas!  Those little oval green gems are usually in abundance about now.  We don’t have any trees at my little house but the area I live in believes in sharing their excess fare so I’ve picked up a bag which I am happy to enjoy with just a spoon as nature intended. They are not as big and perfect as those supermarket ones but they are organic!  I think I will be freezing some to use

High Tea

HIGH TEA I love to plan a party.  Not a big one, just a gathering, to me it beats dining out where trying to talk to everyone is almost impossible.  No.  Leave the outings for couple-time and plan your gatherings at home. I’m not the most gifted of cooks but I can throw together some Scones with Jam and Cream and Club Sandwiches aren’t exactly difficult.  Coffee and Tea or perhaps a Gin and Tonic, either or, its a High Tea to be proud of.

Creme and Caramel with a hint of Copper

CREME AND CARAMEL WITH A HINT OF COPPER Inevitably the seasons change and as they do they bring with them new colours and feelings.  When Summer leaves, its cool whites and bright primary colours give way to the beige, caramel, russets and coppers of Autumn. Afternoon Delight

AFTERNOON DELIGHT Hands up if you’ve joined the hoards trying to give up sugar. Until now nothing seemed to really cut it. But I think I’ve found the answer… Chocolate Energy Balls. Feelin’ hot hot hot

FEELIN’ HOT HOT HOT We are having an unbelievable summer here in NZ; temperatures are souring and while loving the continuous clear days I am beginning to wish it would cool down a little – NO!  I hear you say?  Well I suppose you are right we need to take it while we can; our weather is so unpredictable we could be wishing our way to an early winter!
