How to set up a Bar Cart

There is something ultimately sophisticated about a Bar Cart or Drinks Trolley.  Popular in the mid-century they are finally making a comeback and they are better than ever.  But don’t be daunted by the Pinterest and Instagram beauties, you too can have a perfectly styled cart simply and affordably.

The cart itself is a matter of preference, whether you love vintage, the glitz of a brass and glass trolley or a Designer Scandinavian piece, there is something out there with your name on it, so start the search keeping in mind your budget.

I chose this Normann Copenhagen design Block Side Table from I love its symmetry as well as its size and sturdiness, it was important that it could fit under a Paris Map Print on a nib wall between my Kitchen and Dining spaces, without protruding into the walkway area.  It fits well with my design aesthetic and is a versatile little trolley that can revert to a bedside or living room side table if required.
