SWEET NOTHINGS I really wanted to try this Bounty Bar Recipe. I really, really wish I hadn’t! MY NEW LOVE | STRING SYSTEM Hello my new love. You are perfect for my little house. EMPTY NEST The day has come… 20 years in the making… my son is leaving home! They say a mother cat is ready when her kittens leave her care and within a day resume her life as it was before her off-spring arrived. A QUIET NIGHT IN For me, there is nothing better than returning home after a busy day and not having to go out again. Yes I am a homebody; a quiet night in with some wine, some cheese and family in my little house, is as appealing as champagne on a yacht! CHANGING IT UP Those who live in my little house know that when they leave home in the morning it is often different when they return that night. My husband used to struggle with it, now he barely bats an eye. And so today my dining space is on the move with a couple of new prints to grace the walls and of course my new display ladder which I just cant seem to get enough of! I’ve Tea Time
TEA TIME I’m really more of a coffee girl but I needed to style a dining space recently, for which I needed a beautiful teapot. My online travels were a little fruitless and I ended up spying a T2 store (ironically opposite where I was purchasing my Coffee Capsules) but they didn’t blink an eye when I went in sporting my Nespresso carry bag. This beautiful glass teapot took my fancy as did the little Japanese style cups. And so Candle – Light
CANDLE-LIGHT At my little house we have quite a few power-cuts, the large trees combined with old-fashioned power lines mean when the wind starts to blow we start to plan. Seriously, the weekend we moved in we lost power for two days; not the best neighbourhood welcome! Anyway these power outages give me a very good excuse to buy very beautiful and of course very useful candle holders and ‘he who likes to save money’ can’t complain about Sweet like chocolate
SWEET LIKE CHOCOLATE There is nothing wrong with honey! I mean bees make the stuff for goodness sake. From the flowers to your table and nothing much in between. Chocolate, well there is quite a bit wrong with that, but not if you make it like this; 1/2 cup coconut oil 2 tbsp organic honey 1/4 cup cacao powder Melt everything gently in a saucepan whisking ingredients together. Add a couple of tbsp of finely chopped nuts and/or dried fruit
